Mrs. Susan Henderson, age 86, died in Birmingham at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Robinson Sunday morning, February 8 at 4:30 o'clock
Deceased was the widow of the late Rev. John L. Henderson, a Methodist minister in this vicinity for over 40 years. She was a charter member of the Georgiana Methodist Church.
Since the death of her husband some years ago she had made her home in Birmingham.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Fred Robinson and Mrs. Mary Ash of Birmingham; Mrs. J.W. Sims of Brewton, and Mrs. John Salter of Greenville. Two sons B.L. of Georgiana; Roger Henderson of Montgomery; three brothers Will, Jim and John Carpenter; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Georgiana Methodist Church Monday at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. G.P. Cantrell and Rev. G.C. Spence of Greenville officiating. Pall bearers were W.M. Henderson Roger Lewis Henderson, Ansial B. Sims, Fred Burch, Raymond Hysell, Jimmie Maddox. Interment was in the family lot in Oakwood Cemetery with Henderson Funeral Home of Evergreen directing.
