Stephen was born to Dr. Carl S. and Jessie (Shaunnessy) Adams.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Dr. Carl and Bonnie Adams of Morton; two sisters, Coletta M. (Don) Tosby of Castle Rock, Colo., and Cindy A. (Shawn) Kirwan of rural Deer Creek; one brother, John J. (Lori) Adams of Deer Creek; and two stepbrothers, Benjamin J. Adams of rural Morton and William G. Adams of Fresno, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Stephen attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
