James Dixon, 78, 230 Montrose Ave., died Dec. 17, 1967, 6:30 a.m. at his home of natural causes.
Born Feb. 7, 1889, Leigh, Lancashire, England, a son of William and Mari Jane Hargreaves Dixon. Married Ann Davis, Aug. 5, 1916, Leigh. She died July 25, 1951. Married Annie Holbrook, May 14, 1955, Elko, Nev. Member, Church of England, Loyal Order of the Moose, United Mine Workers of America, formerly Kenilworth, Carbon County.
Survivors: widow, sons, daughters, Reuben, Mrs. Gladys Brown, both Montclair, Calif.; James William, Thomas, Salt Lake City; Robert S., Roseburg, Ore.; Mrs. Irene Gordon, Orem; Mrs. JoAnne Beard, Mrs. Marlene Thomas, both Seattle, Wash.; stepsons, Thomas Holbrook, Salt Lake City; Walter Holbrook, Torrance, Calif.; 25 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pasquill, Leigh.
Funeral Wednesday, noon, 255-2nd East where friends call Tuesday, 7-8 p.m., and Wednesday before services. Burial Redwood Memorial Estates.
