Pierre S. Devers, 68, of 219 Ruby St., died at 12:45 p.m. yesterday at Lancaster General Hospital. He had been ill several months. Devers was born in York, a son of the late Daniel and Anna Stine Devers, and had been a resident of this city since early childhood. He owned and operated a machine shop here for a number of years. In addition to his wife, the former Alice Vondersmith, he is survived by a daughter, Helen M., wife of Walter L. Kohr, city; a brother, James, Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Margaret, wife of S.R. Brady, Philadelphia; two grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. (Lancaster New Era - Oct 22, 1951)
