Rutha Belle Ussery, daughter of the late Asi Edson & Ethel (Roderick) Burch, was born on November 22,1911 at Higgins MO and departed this life on November 15, 1993 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston MO, following a long illness. She was 81 years, 11 months and 23 days of age.
Rutha grew up aroung Mtn Grove and married Lewis Anderson Ussery on November 27, 1930 at Mtn Grove. Six daughters and two sons were born to this union.
Rutha enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and singing. She was a member of the Liberty Faith Baptist Church of Norwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, on October 20, 1968. Survivors include six daughters, Berniece Jackson of Macomb MO; Also three brothers, John Burch of CA; Carl Burch of IA; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
