She was born on December 18, 1915 in Monroe County, Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse and Lucindie (Page) Harper. She married John Sheffield and he preceded her in death in 1943.
Mrs. Sheffield attended Oak Hill Schools in Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a member of the Memorial Church of Christ in Frankfort. She enjoyed quilting and every Sunday, she read her Bible.
She is survived by a son, Alton Sheffield of Tompkinsville, KY, a daughter, Regina (Robert) Beckner of Flora, IN and a step-grandson,Brian Beckner of Sharpsville, IN,5 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, Ruth Hale; a son, Marshall Sheffield; a grandson, Gregory Rasner; and 6 sisters.
Services will be at 1:30 pm Friday, February 06, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, Indiana with Pastor Gerald Wright officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sheffield will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Frankfort, IN.
