Boose, Raymond Frederick, 79 of Brazil, IN, died at 6:30 p.m., October 20, 2006 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was born April 12, 1927 in Norwalk, Ohio as the son of Albert and Hedwig Mary Stieber Boose. After his mother's death he was raised by his step-mother, Cora Downing Boose. He was a graduate of St. Paul's Catholic High School in Norwalk, OH and Tri State University receiving his B.S. degree in aeronautical engineering. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He married Mary Ann Parrish Villagran on August 13, 1977. He attended Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil and was a member of Knights of Columbus, a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. He was employed 50 years with Ohio National Life Insurance Co. He was preceeded in death by his parents and step mother; sister Mary Hart and brothers, Carl, Paul, Leonard, Edward and William Boose. He is survived by his wife, Mary Boose; children, Patricia Griffin (Ron) of Maize, Rosemary Howlett (Wayne) of Kansas City, Michael Boose of Flagstaff, AZ, Joseph Boose of Kansas City, MO, Daniel Boose (Kyle) of Littleton, CO, Timothy Boose (Connie) of Harker Heights, TX, Anthony Boose of Wichita, and Amy Cluck (David) of Cordova, TN; step-son, Roy Villagran of Madison, WI; brother, Norbert Boose (Pat) of Sable Springs, FL and his first wife, Blanche M. Boose of Wichita; nine grandchi ldren, and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, IN. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Annuncia tion Catholic Church. Following the funeral service the body will be cremated and the ashes buried at a later date. Donations may be made to the Raymond Boose Scholarship c/o Indiana State University Foundation, Terre Haute IN 47809.
