Life-Long Resident of Augusta Community PassesAway Nov. 14.

Mrs. H. J. Davenport, a life-long resident of the Augusta community, passed away at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the home of her brother, Noah Ogle, aged 79 years, 5 months, and 27 days. The funeral was held from the Christian church in Augusta at 2:30 p. m. Sunday, Rev. F. W. Leonard, of Blandinsville, officiating.

The church choir, composed of Mrs. Sue Working, Miss Kittie Coffman, Mrs. Belle Ross, Mrs. Perry Foster, Ro--man Foster and Perry Foster, sung very sweetly, "Asleep in Jesus" and 'Rock of Ages." The interment was in the Augusta cemetery.

Mrs. Davenport was a grand, good woman and many old friends were present at the services to pay tribute to the memory of one loved for her sterling qualities.

Hattie J. Ogle was born May 27, 1845 in Fulton county, Illinois, and died at the home of her brother, Noah Ogle, on November 14, 1924, her age being 79 years, 5 months and 17 days. She was the daughter of John and Jamina Ogle and was the oldest of family of ten children.

She moved with her parents to Hancock county in 1868, and was united in marriage with Morris C. Davenport January 7th, 1869, who preceeded her in death twenty-seven years.

She united with the United Brethren church in early life. After the death of her husband she became a member of the Christian church of Augusta.

In 1918 she had a paraletle stroke and has been a constant sufferer for the past six years.

Surviving are five brothers, Joseph Ogle, of Dawson, Negbraska; John Ogle of Walker, Missouri; William Ogle of Denver, Colorado; James Ogle of humbolt, Nebraska; and Noah Ogle, of Augusta
