"Hod Ruple --- Vernal --- Funeral services for Hod Ruple, 51, were conducted Monday at the Vernal L.D.S. First ward chapel by Bishop Pontha Calder.

"Mr. Ruple was born April 2, 1886, at Rainbow Park on Green river, Uintah county, a son of Henry C. and May Coon Ruple. Death occurred Sunday at a Vernal hospital following an operation for ruptured appendix. Mrs. [sic, Mr.] Ruple was injured Thursday when thrown against a saddle horse. He was brought to Vernal from the Ruple ranch Friday afternoon.

"Besides his widow, Lilly Taylor Ruple, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Billie Unterman and Wanda Ruple and his aged mother, all of Vernal, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Martha Nelson, Rawlins, Wyo.; Mrs. Susan Watson, Santa Fe, N.M.; Arthur Ruple, Jardine, Mont.

"Interment was in Vernal Memorial Park under direction of Swain funeral home."
