Rev. Paris Evans, 80, died at the home of a son Carl Evans, Route 2, at 8:33 p.m. Monday July 7, 1953 following a 2 year illness. He was born April 7, 1872 in Adams County, to George W. and America Evans Evans.
He is survived by two sons, Chester Evans of Cincinnati, and Carl Evans; Two daughters Mrs. Hazel Sword of Route 5 and Mrs. Mabel Keaton of Waverly. 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church in East Jackson Township.
Services were entrusted to A.H. Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio.
