Hobert Jackson George, 87, of Kissimmee, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 14, at Osceola Regional Medical Center, Kissimmee, Fla. Born July 15, 1914, in Floyd County, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Emma Music George. He was a retired coal miner. Survivors include his wife, Alka Music George; four sons, Thomas J. George of Wayne, W.V., Billy J. George of Houston, Tex., Dan R. George of Hemphill, Tex., and Gary L. George of Georgetown; a daughter, Barbara S. Stubbs of Leesburg, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Lanasa of Bunnell, Fla.;16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, with Paul Wayne Browning officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
