Daughter of William Joseph McDowell and Susan Ann Reynolds
Mrs. Eleanor Phillips Eichorn, 58, of Wilmington, died Tuesday afternoon In New Hanover Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Eichorn was born in Brunswick County on April 7, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Joe and Susie McDowell. She was the widow of Oscar Agnew Phillips.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby McDowell of Supply and Joseph McDowell of Hampstead; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Ganey of Leland; three brothers; four sisters; seven half-sisters and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. L.R. Teachey officiating. Interment will follow in the Robbins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Coble's Oleander Chapel between 7 and 8 p.m. Thursday and at other times they will be at the home of Bobby McDowell, Rt. 1 Box 10A, Supply.
