Funeral services will be held here this afternoon at 4:00 o'clock.
Mr. Harrington was born in Chickasaw County in 1877.
In 1911 he was elected sheriff of Chickasaw County and served one term. Since then he had served 24 years as deputy sheriff.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Rayford Lewis of Orange, Texas; four sons, Clayton Harrington of Aberdeen, Lieut. Gus Harrington, with the Army Air Force in Italy; Lieut. John Preston, with the Army Air Corps in St Joseph, Mo.; and Officer Candidate Henry L Harrington Jr., of Fort Benning, Ga; three brothers, Sam, Luther and Chester, all of Houston, and one sister, Mrs. W R Boyd, of San Antonio, Texas.
