Marvin Klutz McManus, age 85, of Midland, N.C., died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Presbyterian Main in Charlotte, N.C.

Born December 22, 1923 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was the son of the late Cyrus Emerson McManus and the late Addie (Black) McManus.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Ercel Griffith McManus.

He is survived by his
- Daughter-Gayle Tolbert and husband, Larry of Midland, N.C.
- Son-Mike McManus and wife, Bonnie of Mint Hill, N.C.
- Sister-Mary Parker of Charlotte, N.C.
- Sister-Mildred Gaddy of Pittsboro, N.C.
Three grandchildren Eight great-grandchildren

He was a member of United Love Baptist Church, Flowes Store Rd. The family will meet at the home of his daughter, Gayle Tolbert, 2510 McManus Road, Midland. He served in the Army during World War II.

Funeral service will be at United Love Baptist Church, 11487 Flowes Store Rd., Midland at 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2009 , Rev. Marvin Tyson
Rev. Donald Lisk officiating. Interment will be at United Love Baptist Church Cemetery in Midland, N.C.
