Charles Coy Daniell was the eldest son of Charles Henry and Mary Melvina Baker Daniell. He was called Coy. Over time, his surname evolved to Daniels.

Coy Daniel worked in a saw mill in Murphy, Thomas County, Georgia in 1900. He married Bessie CROSBY on 4 November 1907. They had two daughters, Marie and Bessie Eloise.

In 1920, Coy Daniels, a widower, living in Coolidge, Thomas County is a farm laborer. He and his daughters Marie and Eloise, reside in the household of Marvin and Mary Etta Dunn. Mary Etta was Coy's first cousin, a daughter of his uncle, William Lawrence DANIELL.

Charlie married second Cora Edith Rogers about 1921. They had five children, Charles Herbert, Julian Harold, Herman Edsel, James Henry, and Elizabeth Jenell.

In his father's obituary, August 11, 1936, C. C. DANIELL is shown as living in Pavo, Georgia. In 1956, he moved from Thomas County, Georgia to Zephyrhills, Florida.

Coy C. Daniell of "Zephyr Hill, Fla." is named in the 1963 obituary of his brother, Joseph Lee Daniell.

C. C. DANIELS, 85, Retired Farmer Dies at His Home
Charlie Coy DANIELS, 85, died Friday at his home, 603 Stebbins St. He was the father of Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce's executive Mrs. James WELSCH and had been hospitalized at Jackson Memorial for several weeks. Mr. DANIELS was born Dec. 25, 1881, in Thomas County, Ga., and moved to Zephyrhills, Fla. 10 years ago from Pavo, Ga. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enon, Ga. and a retired farmer. Survivors include four sons, J. Harold and Charlie, both of Zephyrhills, Herman E. of Crystal River and James H. of Fort Myers; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth WELSCH of Zephyrhills; Mrs. Marie BOYER and Mrs. Eloise WOOTEN, both of Orlando; two brothers, B. L. of Lakeland and Ulmer of Waynesville, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Berta GOLDEN, of Pavo,Ga.; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home with the Rev. B. A. Oswald officiating. Burial followed in Oakside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Curtis Palmer, Ernest Peeples, Henry Bloom, Ernest McMILLAN, Carl D. LIPPINCOTT and James Ferguson. [Transcribed by Don Pennay]
