Scott Blose, RD 5, Punxsutawney died Monday, January 8, 1979 in his home. He was 56 years of age.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 today and Wednesday and until 1 p.m. Thursday, the hour of services, in the Deeley Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael L. Holt will officiate, with interment to follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Blose was born January 14, 1922 in Sprankle Mills, the son of Stanley and Beulah Blose, and the stepson of Grace Blose. He was married March 22, 1941 [corrected date] to the former Ellen Todd, who survives. A lifetime resident of this area, he was a coal miner and woodsman.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Blose; nine sons [changed to age order]: Lee, James, John, Don, Edgar, William, Richard, Thomas and Ronald (Joe); four daughters: Carol, Phyllis, Patricia and Elvira; 29 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Glenn (Velma) Cotham of Romulus, Michigan; Mrs. Raymond (Martha Jane) Denback [corrected]of Lincoln Park, Michigan and Mrs. Wayne (Jean) Combs.
Scott loved his garden - whether it was flowers, fruits or vegetables. He also loved his children and grandchildren and loved to hold and spoil all the babies.
