Caroline W. Gieck was born in Cincinnati, OH. She and her parents, Gottfried and Margaretha (Ösper) Gieck, moved to Gasconade County circa 1857. Her first marriage was to Herman Henry Gerken. Two children were born to this couple: Henry and Margaretha "Maggie" Gerken (1871-1913). Maggie married William Brandt and passed away 15 years before her mother, Caroline. After the death of her first husband in 1873, Caroline married William Morre. Mrs. Morre rests at side of her daughter, Maggie Brandt.

According to the GASCONADE COUNTY CEMETERY SURVEY, 1985, there are two Zoar cemeteries at Drake: Zoar Methodist Church Cemetery, No. 1 (Sec. 16, south of Drake); and Zoar Methodist Church Cemetery, No. 2 (Sec. 15, in Drake). Mrs. Morre was buried in cemtery No. 1.
