53-year Wichitan Dies After Illness


A resident of Wichita for 53 years, Mrs. Edith E. Watson, 88, died at her home at 603 Everett Saturday following a short illness.


Mrs. Watson was born in Franklin County, Kan., March 6, 1868. She was married to R. F. Watson in 1886. Mr. Watson died in 1953.


She was a member of the Loyal Daughters Class of Central Christian Church and Maple Leaf chapter of Royal Neighbors.


She is survived by two daughters, Misses Jennibelle and Louise Watson of the home address; two sons, Frederick W., Long Island, N.Y., and Ray B., Quincy, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


Funeral arrangements will be announced by Gill Mortuary.
