Former Wichitan's Body Will Be Interred Here
The body of William Shields, aged 61, of Chicago, who died Tuesday, is being returned to Wichita for burial, according to Gill mortuary. Friends may call at the Gill chapel fro 2 to 3 Friday. Burial in Maple Grove cemetery will follow. There will be no formal service.
Born in Wichita, Mr. Shields left the city at the age of 20 for a business career in Chicago. He was the son of William Prentice and Ella Glenn Shields, early-day residents. His grandparents on his mother's side, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Glenn, were charter members of the Central Christian church of Wichita.
