William Noble Andrew Jackson Woodyard Butler carried the name of his father, grandfather, his father's commanding general the illustrious Andrew Jackson, and his mother's maiden name. He settled in Miami County in an early day and accumulated a considerable estate although he died when only 31 years of age. He lived in Perry Townshhip, Miami County, and is burried in the northeast corner of the "Old Moyer Grave Yard" on the county line between Miami and Wabash counties, about one mile south of what was called Niconze in an early day and about six miles north of Stockdale. His widow, Nancy E. Meek, aftrwards married Minor Alley, who had been married to Selina Butler (deceased), a sister of William Noble Andrew Jackson Woodyard Butler.
