Mrs. Olivia Joyce Cason, 91, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Mrs. Cason was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Clinch County to the late, Alonzo Joyce, Jr. and Pearl Dame Joyce. She was a member of the Homerville First Baptist Church, Clinch County Senior Citizens Center and was a retired nurse. She was the widow of Louie Calvin Cason. Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law: Rita and Danny Spikes, Pearson; one son and daughter-in-law: Louie and Gail Cason, Homerville; one sister and brother-in-law: Marie and Ed Turk, Blackshear, Ga.; one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great grandson, one great granddaughter and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Cason will be held Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. from the Homerville First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Cason will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services.
