Denver R. Ammerman Sr., 79, Van Ormer, Fallentimber, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, at Bon Secours-Holy Family Hospital. He was born April 29, 1920, in Frugality, the son of the late William and Ellen (Lee) Ammerman. He married Leanore Cuomo. She died March 12, 1993. Mr. Ammerman worked in construction for Putman and Greene, Philipsburg, for 30 years. Surviving are two daughters: Marie McMasters of Van Ormer and Nancy Fink of Dysart RD; a son, Denver Jr. of Van Ormer; a brother, Lee, of Flinton; a sister, Lucretia Krise of Mountaindale; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Coalport.

Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. He is survived by special friends: Regis and Sally Noel and children of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Carrie Noel; a brother, Winter; and sisters; Orvetta Conley, Wilmena Hamilton, Treva Hanna and Violet Eamigh.
