OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Saturday, April 28, 1945:
Pruet Infant Expires In Evansville Hospital
Thomas Darrell [sic] Pruet, one-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell W. Pruet, died at 4 p.m. Friday in Deaconess hospital, Evansville, according to word received here.
Mr. and Mrs. Pruet are former Rush county residents. Mrs. Pruet being the former Harriet Dawson.
The child is survived by the parents of one brother, Billy, of Evansville, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Pruet and Richard Dawson of Rush county.
The body will be returned here for funeral services and burial, probably Sunday. Friends may call at the Moster mortuary for further information.

Services Conducted For Pruet Infant
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, followed by burial in Hopewell cemetery near Andersonville, for Thomas Gerald Pruet, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Pruet of Evansville and formerly of Rush county.
The Rev. Gordon Smith of New Salem conducted the services which were held at the home of the child's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Pruet, south of Rushville. The child was born Thursday in Deaconess hospital, Evansville, and died the following day.
The child's mother was brought to the Bernie Pruet home Saturday.
