His mother, Harriet Smith Pullen has many books and articles written about her and the family. The Pullen House owned and operated by Harriet and in time Royal as a partner was a famous place to stay in Skagway, Alaska.
He lived to be 103 years old! He is written about in the "One Hundred over 100" book about centurians.
