Death certificate for Emma Catherine Powell states the date of death was 26 February 1932, though someone put a marker for her grave stating it was 27 February 1932. My Dad, Charlie Adams, said that he had helped dig Emma's husband Washington Levite Adams grave and when Emma died there was no room for her to be buried near Wash, so she was buried at a different area. I wonder if the person who put the marker for Emma's grave wanted her to be near Wash.
Her brother, Newton Carter Powell, was the informant on her death certificate and he put the year of her birth as 1878 and that is not right. There's a question mark above this, so maybe he just didn't know. Now that I see the ? again, it's for Emma's spouse's name. Surprised N. C. didn't know that.
