HUSBAND AND WIFE WERE SEPARATED IN WAR DAYS. HUSBAND THOUGHT DEAD
The wife married again. Husband has turned up in Huntington Ind February. A separation of probably forty years, Mrs Catherine Stull met Albert Holly to whom she was married shortly before the Civil war. Catherine Stull formerly Catherine Helvie married Albert Holly prior to the outbreak of the Civil war. When the call for volunteers came he went to war and this was the last his wife saw of him until Saturday night. The war drew to a close and the rumor came of her husband's death. A while after that she married James Stull and for the last thirty years they have lived in the vicinity of Huntington. A part of the time at Bakers Corners at Wabash and while there James Stull had been employed for a time on the Ft Wayne Wabash Valley line having a run between Peru and Wabash. The home of Mr and Mrs Stull was then at Wabash. Mr Stull was killed by being thrown from the rear part of his car as it rounded a curve at high speed. This occurred near Peru. Since the time of his death Mrs Stull has made her home with A J Helvie her brother at Andrews. Contrary to report the first husband Albert Holly had not been killed. About a year ago he came to Huntington and has been recently employed as a woodcutter on a farm near town. A few weeks ago Mrs Stull heard of Mr Holly and upon inquiry concluded that he must be the long lost husband. The meeting of Saturday night was made at the home of her nephew. Albert Holly is sixty-four years old and Catherine Helvie is sixty-six.

The probabilities are that Mrs Catharine Stull and Albert Holly will be reunited in marriage in the near future. They were married and living together when the Civil war broke out, when Mr. Holly answered the call for volunteers. After the war he did not return to his wife, and she mourning him as dead, later became the wife of James Stull, employed as conductor on the Ft. Wayne & Wabash Valley Traction line. Stull was killed in an accident along the line several years ago. Holly and his former wife met in this city Saturday for the first time since the separation at the outbreak of the war and the prospects are they will take up life where it was interrupted many years ago.

The Huntington Herald (Huntington, Indiana) 6 Jul 1911, Thu Page 4
Typhoid fever complicated by acute dilation of the heart caused the death yesterday afternoon of Mrs. Marilda Stull, who since the death of her husband three years and a half ago has been making her home with her brother, Jack Helvie, of Andrews. Mrs. Stull had been ill with typhoid fever for about six weeks. She was born February 2, 1840, in Ohio, making her age at the time of death seventy-one years, five months and three days.
Her husband met death in a street car accident at Wabash, he being employed by the Fort Wayne & Wabash Valley, now the Fort Wayne & Northern Indiana. No children survive. Jack Helvie, as has been mentioned, is a brother. Funeral will be held this afternoon at the Helvie home at 4 o'clock, with Rev. E. E. Lutes probably in charge. Friday the body will be taken to the Friends' cemetery near Wabash, where interment will be made. Last sad rites will be performed at the grave.
