On December 19, 1931 Paul was united in marraige with Yetta Mary Willer at St. Aubert, Missouri. Four sons were born to this family, Paul Lavon, Kenneth Wesley, Francis Charles Rudolph and Ralph Douglas.
Paul was a farmer and construction worker. He also worked on the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the Missouri River. Upon his retirement in 1978, Paul, Yetta and Lavon moved to Red Cloud, Nebraska to make their home.
Paul was a long time member of the Assemblies of God Church, serving as song leader for many years at Chamois. He was also active in the community, serving on the Chamois MFA Board, and as Chief of the Chamois Volunteer Fire Department.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of sixty-two years, Yetta; two brothers and four sisters.
Left to treasure his memory are four sons: Lavon of Red Cloud, Nebraska; Kenneth and wife Mary of St. Joseph, Missouri; Francis and wife Mary of Kirkland, Washington; Douglas and wife Diane of St. Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren and spouses; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, June Dyke of Jefferson City, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., January 22, 2009 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Red Cloud with Rev. Gregg Thee and Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Red Cloud Cemetery.
