Rolen's death is recorded as November 25, 1885 in Cabell County records; however, a petition was filed to probate his WILL on April 7, 1885. Rolen had signed his WILL January 27, 1885, he must have been ill and knew his end was near.
Obviously the date of death recorded at the court house is wrong, his WILL would not have been probated before he died. Perhaps he died March 25 and then a couple weeks later on April 7 the petition to probate his WILL was filed.
