Born Jan. 16, 1914, in Needmore, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Sadie Y. Truax Mellott.
Mrs. Barnhart was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hancock, Md.
A homemaker, she was a Stanley Home Products representative for 27 years.
Mrs. Barnhart and her husband, the late John McClellen Barnhart, were married Jan. 27, 1935. Mr. Barnhart died Oct. 14, 1967.
She was a member of the Pal Club of Amaranth.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheila R. Mellott of Needmore; a son, Vernon J. of Edenville; five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, William J. Mellott of Knobsville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Helen Barnhart, and three brothers, Ulysses Mellott, Harold Mellott and Freddie Mellott.
Burial will be Sunday, in the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore.
