Rebecca Cain married Rev. Jacob Pearson, a pioneer Methodist preacher. They had two children Jacob, Jr. and a daughter Rachel who married Rev. William Dixon, another pioneer Methodist preacher. Rev. Jacob Pearson lived near Mahlon Pearson, married to Amelia Cain, Rebecca’s sister, in Warren County, Ohio and was the founder of the village of Mt. Holly, just north of Waynesville. Rebecca Cain Pearson died in Ohio in 1833. Shortly afterward her husband went to Indiana. The Cain and Pearson families were part of the Quaker migration from South Carolina to Ohio in the early 1800’s.

Jacob Pearson’s will names daughter, Rachel Dixon, and his son in law William Dixon married 24 FEB 1818. His son, Jacob Jr b. 1806 is not mentioned since he died 1837.
