Mazie Gossler was the 9th child of the ten of William Henry Gossler & Charlotte (Weaver) Gossler.

Charlotte Gossler died on 22 Feb 1893 in Ida Grove, Ida County, Iowa. After their mother died, Mazie Gossler's father brought her and two of her brothers, Emery and Harry, to Eugene, Oregon in 1893. Her other siblings arrived soon after with their own family members.

Mazie Gossler married Benjamin Franklin Goodpasture on 27 Oct 1904 in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. The Goodpstures had three children: Gordon Gossler Goodpasture, Kathryn Goodpasture [Mrs. Thomas O. Crowder] and Robert Franklin Goodpasture.

GOODPASTURE - Mazie Gossler Goodpasture of Leaburg passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.O. Crowder at 206 West 20th Ave., Sunday, October 17, 1948. She was born August 8, 1874, Eldon, Iowa, Jefferson County. She lived in Oregon the last 55 years. Married B.F. Goodpasture Eugene, Oregon 1904. Lived in Eugene until 1926, then moving to Leaburg, Oregon. She was very active in church work most of her life. Surviving are her husband B.F. Goodpasture; 2 sons: Gordon G. Goodpasture, Robert F. Goodpasture, both of Leaburg, Oregon. One daughter: Mrs. T.O. Crowder of Eugene and 7 grandchildren; one sister: Mrs. Margaret G. Day of Seattle, Washington; two nieces: Mrs. Owen Blazier, Portland; Gretchen Wintermeier Sullivan, Long Beach, Calif. One nephew: Was W. Wintermeier, of Eugene and many other relatives in the Eugene area. Funeral services Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Veatch Hollingsworth England Funeral Home. Interment in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Reverend L.O. Griffith will officiate.
