Jesse Hinkle was a coroner of Izard County from 1862-1864, who was involved in the infamous Mill Creek Organization Peace Society incident during the Civil War era.

Jesse Hinkle was the son of William Hinkle and Sarah "Sallie" Downing. He first married Sarah Ann Cole. Following her untimely death, he married Mary A. Coburn.
