Mr. Newton Wilemon, aged 68 years, died last Sunday morning at his home near Maypearl, after a lingering illness of several months. The remains were interred in the Maypearl cemetery Monday afternoon. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death. Mr. Wilemon was born in Blunt county, Alabama, and moved to Ellis county, Texas, in 1874, where he had since resided. At the age of 18 years he enlisted in the Confederate army and served four years. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist church.
