Albert Wright was born on August 21, 1872, near Tuscumbia; departed this life Aug. 7, 1931, at his home in Eugene, being 58 years, 11 months and 14 days of age. He was the son of Henry and Minerva Jane (Melton) Wright, both deceased. He was married on March 20, 1904, to Stella Jenkins who survives him.

His demise was due to several months' illness of diabetes from which he never recovered. All was done that a loving wife, friends and physicians could do, but to no avail. He bore his suffering patiently and without a murmur until the end. He will be greatly missed in his community by his neighbors and friends. He granted all favors that were asked of him with good cheer, and took great pride in his home, and lead a good clean, Christian life. He united with the Christian Church at Eugene in 1905, where he always was a faithful member.

Besides his wife, he is survived by their daughter, Mrs. Otto Sanning, by four sisters, Mrs. Kate Spalding and Mrs. Della Binkley, of Eugene; Mrs. Fannie Simpson of LaJunta, Colo.; Mrs. Vesta Hinds, of Los Angeles, Calif., and one brother, Arthur, of Colorado Springs, and one brother, Joe Wright, who preceded him in death three years ago; and a sister, Lou, who died in childhood.

A brief funeral service was conducted at the Eugene Church by Uncle Sammy Templeton on Sunday, Aug. 9th, at three o'clock and interment in the Eugene Cemetery.
