McIntire girl injured in fatal crash.
ELKTON, Minn.- An elderly Dexter, Minn., man was killed and five other persons injured, one an Iowan, when a stock truck and a car collided at the intersection of two Mower County roads near here.
George Vogelsang, 81, who was riding in the truck, became the state's third traffic victim of the new year.
The Mower County sheriff's office said the most seriously injured was Sandra Kay Jax, 17, McIntire, Iowa, who was taken to St. Mary's hospital in Rochester.
Joseph McGee, 17, Taopi, Minn., driver of the car, escaped serious injury, but JoAnn Goergen, 17, Adams, Minn., another passenger in the car, was hospitalized at Austin.
Nels Lee, 27, Dexter, driver of the truck was treated and released. Bernard Vogelsang, 39, also of Dexter, son of the victim, was hospitalized at Austin.
