Victor William Wehmeyer, of Marthasville, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 1999 at the New Florence Nursing Home in New Florence, MO, at the age of 95 years and four days.
Victor was born to Hermann and Henriette, nee Koelling, Wehmeyer on March 16, 1904 in Hochfeld, MO
He was united in marriage to Louisa C. Schnarre on May 8, 1932 in Big Springs, MO. To this union were born three children, Roxana, and two sons who passed away in infancy. They celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Victor worked as a farmer and served as a Warren County public official for over twenty years as County Assessor and over 12 years as County Collector. He was a member of the Smith Creek United Methodist Church of Warrenton, MO, the Daggett Masonic Lodge # 492 AF & AM of McKittrick, MO, the Warren County Historical Society, the State Assessor and Collectors Association, and the Warren County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include, his wife, Louisa Wehmeyer of Marthasville, MO, one daughter, Roxana Schroeder and husband Walter Jr., of Warrenton, MO, two grandchildren, Miriam Beecham and husband, Alex, and Aaron Schroeder, other relatives and friends.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents, two sons in infancy, five brothers, Fred, Herman, Henry, Theodore, and Leland, one sister Carrie Miller, and one cousin, Virgil Schaub.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Memorials may be made to the Warren County Historical Society, to the Gore & Case Community Center of Gore, MO, or to the Smith Creek Cemetery Association, in care of the Nieburg-Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, MO, 63383
