THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., Mar. 8, 1996, p. 10A: 'Velma Sharrock, 82, 2183 E. Cherry, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, at Cherry Street Annex. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Springhill White Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Mrs. Sharrock was born April 18, 1913, in OK, a daughter of Jack and Maggie Johnson. She married Enoch Sharrock July 12, 1930, in Idabel, OK. He died Dec. 23, 1992. Surviving are seven children and their spouses: Sylvia and Boyd Criscoe of Mount Pleasant; Kathleen and John McGee of Paris; Sue and Bob Skinner of Paris; Mary and Clarence Rodgers of Dallas; James and Laura Sharrock of Paris; Merlene and Boyd Conwell of Tulsa, OK; and Judy and Ben David of Ardmore, AL [sic]; one sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Jim Oliver of Broken Bow; one brother, Albert Johnson of Oklahoma City; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Claude 'Sonny' Sharrock on May 21, 1984, and by a grandson, Carey Miner. The family requests memorials be made to the Springhill White Cemetery.′
