Claimed direct descent from the chief, Powhatan, father of Pochontas. A sister, Mrs. Pochontas Cabell Hammond, died several years ago.
For a number of years, Mr. Cabell was a successful farmer near Miami, but for the past 2 1/2 years he had lived with a granddaughter, Mrs. William Hughes. He was a cousin of Mrs. Irene Elliott, Mrs. Alma Magruder and Mrs. Edna Smutz of Brunswick, MO.
