James Bruce Sr., 60, of Fern Creek, died Thursday at Humana Hospital-Suburban. He was a retired truck driver for Duff Truck Lines, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a Baptist and a member of Teamsters Local 89. Survivors: his wife, the former Edna Skirvin; four daughters, Alma Carey, Cheryl Autry, Jamesetta White and Donna Bruce; a son, James Bruce Jr. of Fern Creek; seven sisters, Juanita Molthop, Marlene Hudspeth, Martha Scott, Violet Hatfield, Joyce Prather, Sharon Baize and Betty Corley; two brothers, William R. Sr. and Thomas E. Bruce Sr.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Baptist Tabernacle, 2854 W. Market St. Burial: Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation: Schoppen-horst & Underwood Funeral Home, 19th and Market streets, 4-9 p.m. Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday, -and at the church after 10 a.m. Monday.
