Daughter of W. C. & Mahala Roberts

"Nashville Christian Advocate," 1 Aug 1885.
Sarah Elizabeth Roberts daughter of William and Mahala Roberts who died Feb. 8, 1885 in Morgan Co.
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Roberts, daughter of William and Mahala Roberts, was born in White County, TN, 1 Oct 1854; died of pneumonia in Morgan County, Alabama, 8 Feb 1885. Sister Roberts professed religion while young, and joined the M.E. Church, South, at Johnson's Chapel, where she was known as a faithful member. She married William Roberts, Jr., while young, and lived happily with him until the angel of death carried her away from him. He now mourns his loss which is her eternal gain. She has been in delicate health for several years before her death, but never murmured of her condition. Death came very unexpectedly to her, but she seemed perfectly resigned to the will of God. She was a kind and loving wife, and her much bereaved husband now feels that he has lost one of earth's brightest treasures, but that heaven is made brighter by her entrance.
