CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING

Married at Oswego, Oregon, Nov. 18th, 1872, the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Woods was celebrated at their home in this city last Saturday. Only relatives of the family were present as follows: Orin Woods, a son and family, of Dot, Wash.; Mrs. Ira Trumbo, a daughter, and family, of Pleasant Valley; Mrs. Clint West, a granddaughter, and family, of Dot; Alfred Moser, Claude Woods and Ellis Woods, grandsons, of Dot; Mrs. Frank Powers, a sister of Mr. Woods, of Dot; and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Shurtz of Goldendale. Mrs Shurtz being a niece of Mr. Woods. A daughjter, Mrs. Ada Moser of Seattle, was not present.

Mr and Mrs. Woods served a bountiful dinner during the day, and received numerous valuable gifts presented by relatives suitable for the occasion.

Mr. and Mrs. Woods are pioneers of Klickitat county, having lived in Dot section for a good part of theit married life. They came to Klickitat county in 1880 and settled in the Dot section. Of late years they have made their home in Goldendale.

Found information of death date, where died, where in Oregon born, and served in civil war. Private Infantry, D. I. ORG. INF. from 25 November 1865 - 16 January 1866. All this found on Cleveland Cemetery Records.

A. O. Woods, pioneer resident of the Dot section, passed away May 3rd at his Home in Goldendale. Funeral services were held at Cleveland, Rev. Young officiating.

He was in the 82nd year of age. His wife passed away in 1928. He is survived by four children: Mrs. Ada Moser and Mrs. Maud Trumbo of Goldendale; Ellis of Alberta, Canada; and Orin L. of Roosevelt.

Interment was in the Cleveland Cemetery.
