Alma E. Lindemann was born November 27, 1900 at McGregor, TX, the daughter of German immigrants, Fritz and Alvina Hueske Lindemann. She had a twin brother, Albert. The family moved to the Plainview TX area when Alma was a small child, eventually settling near Claytonville, in Swisher County.

On August 2, 1921 Alma married Norvell Raper at Plainview TX. The couple had one child, Doyle.

Alma died in 1961 in Lockney, TX.
