WESTLEY COCHRAN was born in Knox county, Ohio, March 22, 1832, and died at his home in Rice county, Kansas, April 30, 1900; aged 68 years, 1 months and 8 days.

He was married in July, 1857, to Miss Mary Ann Adams, of Effingham county, Ill. Eight children blessed this union, two of which died in infancy.

Mr. Cochran was highly honored and esteemed by all who knew him. He had been a great sufferer for a long number of years, but was only confined to his bed for three weeks before death came to relieve him. He bore his suffering patiently to the last. He leaves a loving wife, five sons, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters, besides a large number of friends to mourn his death.

The funeral services were conducted at the North Fork school house, Rev. J. W. Crouch, of Little River, officiating. There was a company of friends and neighbors [illegible] in the Bean cemetery.
