Lester had his own radio and tv repair shop and was also in the upholstery business for awhile. He loved baseball, played all kinds of instruments, and worked at Kelvinator as a refrigeration inspector for over 25 years. He loved to putter in his "shop" out back, built his own home on Kenowa in Grandville, and then moved to Newaygo County, MI and built another home. He had never been in the hospital in his life but died a few days after having a massive heart attack while snowblowing his driveway.
