LOUISIANA, Mo. - Sandra J. Bryant, 65, of Louisiana, Mo. died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at University Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Springfield, the daughter of James Johnson Sr. and Marianna Cox Johnson. She married Benson Robertson, who fathered all six of her children. She later married Charles Bryant who provided her with two stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benson Robertson; and her second husband, Charles Bryant.

She is survived by a son, Num'an Robertson of Minneapolis; five daughters, Elizebeth Bryant (John) of Louisiana, Mo., Nina Ball (James) of Milwaukee, Nichelle Robertson of Springfield, Benandra Robinson (Bernard) of Minneapolis and Marianndra Robertson of Minneapolis; two stepchildren, Mary Bryant and Charles Bryant Jr., both of Louisiana, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, James Johnson Jr., Alfred Johnson and Robert Michael Johnson, all of Minneapolis; a sister, Macey Wheeler, of Minneapolis; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandra lived most of her life in Springfield until she moved to Missouri 20 years ago. She worked at Pike Pioneers Nutritional Center as head cook.

She was a member of Maryland St. Missionary Baptist Church, Choir and Usher Board, American Legion Auxiliary Board and VFW in Louisiana, Mo.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ, with Dr. Juan L. Morrison Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

W.W. White Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
