Lee L. Burriss, 71. of 807 Broadway St. died today at Charles E. Still Hospital.

He was born Feb. 21,1901 at Warrensburg, the son of Warrick P. Burriss and Mary Eliza Doak Burriss. He was Married April 21, 1931 at Sedalia to the former Miss Delpha J. Kolar, who surves at the home. Mr Burriss attended the Warrensburg Public Schools and moved to Jefferson City in 1938. A member of the First Baptist Church and Carpenters Union No. 945, he was in the construction business until illness forced his retirement in 1952. Survivors. besides his widow, include one son, Don L. Burriss, Independence; thre brothers, Scott Burriss, Lincoln; Kenneth Burriss, Warrensburg; and Myron Burriss, Sugar Creek; one sister, Mrs Ina Atkins, Warrensburg; and two grandchildren. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Buescher Memorial Chapel with the Rev. J. Bickel officiating. Burial is in Spring Garden Cemetery in Miller County.
