Thomas Gardner Ford, 38, of 869 Livestock Road, Danville, VA died suddenly on Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Danville Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Thomas was born in Danville on November 29, 1970 a son of Elson Gardner Ford and Christine Walker Ford. He had lived most of his life in the Blairs Community of Pittsylvania County where he was a graduate of Dan River High School, Class of 1988.

Thomas was employed by Multiwall Packaging Inc. for the past several years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Thomas is survived by his parents of Blairs, one sister Tammy Ford Stacey and husband David of Blairs, VA, his former wife Melanie Bliss Ford, one nephew Justin Stacey and one niece Katherine Lilly Ford and by a number of very close friends. He was predeceased by twin children Travis Michael Ford and Katherine Lilly Ford.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel by the Reverend Fredrick J. Vicks. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the North Main Chapel Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times they will be at the residence of his parents Elson and Christine Ford, 276 Lawless Creek Road, Blairs, Virginia. Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes and Cremation Services North Main Chapel is respectfully serving the Ford Family.
