Raymond Sidney McCorvey, 83, was the son of Willis Eagleton and Minnie Lee McCorvey. He volunteered for the United State Navy in October of 1942 at the age of 17, proudly serving his country for nine years. Raymond and father Willis were the founders of McCorvey Sheet Metal Works. Raymond was a pioneer and an innovator in the HVAC sheet metal duct industry and was recognized nationwide for his sheet metal multi-coil cut to length line and fully automated sheet metal duct machine. Raymond also designed and manufactured the first machine to produce a Continuous Polyurethane and Steel Panel which is used on commercial building construction and distributed worldwide. As well a being an inventor and holder of 4 US Patents, Raymond also studied mathematics, astronomy and was the author of the book "God's Amazing Math". Raymond was very involved in the community, both on a local and national level.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: brothers Donald, Neal, and Elwood; sisters Zelle, Edith and Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Pauline McCorvey; brother Alan; sister Josephine; daughter Carla Craig; son Tony and wife Mitzy McCorvey; son Robert and wife Helene McCorvey; grandchildren Anthony Craig, Allen Craig, Kristal Crites, Tony Jr., Charlie, Brandi Ratliff, Matt, Natasha Draper, Jason, Chelsea; six great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
