Silent Film Actress. She is remembered for her silent film work with actor and comedian Ford Sterling. She came to California from Nebraska with her family and was in movies from 1917 to 1921. In 1918 she joined the Keystone Film Company and became one of Mack Sennett's "Bathing Beauties." She appeared in over 25 silent films including "A Clever Dummy" (1917), "The Summer Girls" (1918), "Her Screen Idol" (1918), "East Lynne with Variations" (1919), "When Love Is Blind" (1919), "A Lightweight Lover" (1920), "The Simp" (1920), and "For Land's Sake" (1920). In November 1918 she married Henry Page Wells and left him a month later because he was a drug user. On September 2, 1936 she was walking home in Los Angeles, California and was kidnapped by three young men who had offered her a ride. She was taken to a secluded place not far from where she was kidnapped and assaulted. The suspects were arrested and later tried, found guilty, and sentenced to prison, but were released two years later due to technicalities stemming from their trials. She married Edwin Wilkinson soon after her abduction and remained married until her death, when she committed suicide by ingesting ant poison.
