Funeral Friday of Honey Grove Woman
Mrs. John J. Smith, 29 years old, died at her home here Wednesday following a week's attack of pneumonia.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon, probably at 3 o'clock, pending arrive of Mrs. Smith's father, G. W. Berry of Lindsay, Cal. The services will be held at the Baptist church, the pastor. Rev. T. J. Watts, being assisted by Rev. J. W. Melton of Dial and Rev. H. H. Gray of Allen's Point.
Mrs. Smith, formerly Miss Velma E. Perry, was born at Soper, Okla., and came here in 1919.
Three years later she moved to California and returning here was married November 23, 1923.
Her father, her husband and three children, Norma Jean and twins Johnnie and Jesse, survive her beside several half brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Henry Simmons, John Mimms, John B. Grant, Newt Neeley, G. W. McFarland and Luther Shipman.
Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery.
